How to Play VS. Gumshoe
Quick start
- Aim at Stevenson as he approaches a gap.
- Shoot him to trigger the jump.
- Shoot an enemy that threatens the landing.
- Guide him toward red balloons for more bullets.
Controls
Aim the light gun and pull its trigger. Hitting Stevenson makes him jump as he automatically walks right. Other shots consume ammunition; collecting red balloons restores it.
VS. Gumshoe — About this game
VS. Gumshoe makes shooting the hero a means of helping him. Stevenson walks right automatically, and a light-gun hit sends him jumping over the next platform hazard. Direct shots also remove approaching enemies, but those expend ammunition rather than granting the free movement shot on Stevenson. Guiding the detective into red balloons replenishes bullets during his search for the diamonds demanded for his daughter’s release.
