How to Play Willow (USA)
Quick start
- Identify the hero assigned to the stage.
- Keep Willow at projectile range or bring Madmartigan into sword range.
- Collect coins and buy useful attack upgrades.
- With upgraded Willow magic, hold Attack and release at the intended meter point.
Controls
Attack casts Willow’s projectile or swings Madmartigan’s sword according to the active hero. Madmartigan can destroy enemy projectiles with his sword. Willow’s purchased magic upgrades use a held Attack followed by release at the appropriate meter point.
Willow (USA) — About this game
Willow (USA)’s arcade adventure alternates between Willow’s projectile magic and Madmartigan’s close-range swordplay. Each stage gives one hero a different part in protecting Elora Danan from Bavmorda, with timed routes through forests, camps and castles. Defeated enemies leave coins for shops, where the heroes buy different attack upgrades. Madmartigan’s sword can intercept enemy projectiles, while Willow’s purchased magic expands the available charged attacks. Hold and release his attack at the right meter point to choose an upgraded effect. Learn which hero is active before carrying the previous stage’s preferred attack distance into the next encounter.
