How to Play Wing Force (Japan, prototype)
Quick start
- Move clear of the first enemy fire.
- Fire at an approaching target.
- Collect a weapon item for its attack and armour.
- Use a bomb when a dangerous pattern closes the route.
Controls
Move with the joystick. A fires the current weapon and B uses a stocked bomb. A weapon pickup also provides one-hit armour; avoid another hit after that protection is lost.
Wing Force (Japan, prototype) — About this game
The preserved Wing Force prototype is a vertical shooter with several interchangeable weapons and an unusual armour benefit. Picking up a weapon also adds protection against one hit; another hit without that protection destroys the ship. The weapon set includes spread fire, laser, missiles and waves. Medals contribute to the end-of-stage bonus, while limited bombs give another means of dealing with a dangerous enemy pattern across the five-stage campaign.
