How to Play Zaxxon (Japan)
Quick start

Controls
Left/right moves across the flight path. Pushing the flight stick forward lowers the ship; pulling back raises it. Fire attacks at the current height. The craft advances automatically.
Zaxxon (Japan) — About this game
Zaxxon (Japan) makes altitude as important as left and right positioning during its fortress attacks. The ship’s shadow and the altimeter help line up openings in walls and electronic barriers. Fuel falls during the fortress sections and is restored by destroying fuel tanks, so flying safely past everything eventually becomes dangerous. The outer-space encounter separates the two bases before the giant Zaxxon robot. Practise a low pass over a fuel tank before attempting the next wall, then read the altitude display when the shadow is unavailable in space.
