How to Play Arkanoid II

Quick start

Shoot the ball and receive it at the end of Baus II to create an angle to aim. At first, prioritize expansion, deceleration, catch, and permanent splitting, and avoid shortening and unwieldy double bows depending on the situation. After clearing the surface, the left and right exits take you to different routes, so remember the placements you are not good at and change your choices. Trap the enemy to the top before they descend, and pay attention to changes in stiffness and hit detection during transformation.

Controls

Move Baus II left and right with the knob on the special paddle, fire the ball with the fire button, release the ball you caught, and shoot the laser. In the emulator, set paddle/Vaus input for Arkanoid. START is used to start and pause. Normal pad operations and detailed assignments for editing and battle modes follow the display of the usage environment.

Arkanoid II — About this game

"Arkanoid II" is a sequel for the Famicom based on "Revenge of DOH," in which you operate Baus II and advance through a total of 35 levels from level 0 to level 34. It features a branching structure where exits open to the left and right when you finish a surface, and the next wall placement changes depending on the side you choose. In addition to the expansion, deceleration, catch, laser, and warp from the previous game, new capsules have been added, such as permanent 3-fission, powerful multi-fission, penetrating bullets, double bounce, and shortening effects in exchange for doubling points. Resurrecting walls, moving hard walls, and constantly appearing enemies disturb the trajectory, and a mid-boss awaits you on the 17th stage, followed by Do at the end. Editing and battle elements are also features of the Famicom version.
