How to Play Artelius
Quick start
Select START using SELECT in the title, and confirm with START. After registering your name, allocate your ability values and depart from the warp hole at the top left of the laboratory. In space, red dots are enemies, and blue dots are colonies where you can get supplies and information. In the early stages, don't force yourself to warp far away, fight nearby to raise your class and funds, and replenish your HP and WE. Be sure to note down the numbers and door passwords you get from conversations, and update your weapons and shields before proceeding to the next planet belt.
Controls
Use the cross button to move your character up, down, left, and right, and move the cursor during conversations and shops. During battle, press A to fire bullets, and press B to use set items. Press START to bring up the conversation screen and send text. Each press of SELECT switches between the ITEM and WEAPON selection windows. For the title, select START/CONTINUE with SELECT, and confirm with START.
Artelius — About this game
"Alterios" is an action RPG for the Famicom that combines movement through warp holes on a space map with real-time combat from a first-person perspective. A cyborg warrior whose abilities have been adjusted at a research institute explores three planets and two asteroid belts, searching for Dr. Rad and Leticia who were taken away. Defeat enemies to gain experience points and credits, while movement and powerful weapons require WE energy. Use the colony's weapon shop, repair shop, information shop, and fuel shop to gather knowledge to open doors closed with passwords and crystals.
