How to Play Asteroids
Quick start
Skip the opening with START, choose Single Player and New Game. Practice turning left/right and tapping up for thrust. Fire with A at a clear target, then move away from the smaller debris before attacking again.
Controls
Default controls: left/right turns, up thrusts, down uses defence, A fires and B uses the special weapon. Menus use up/down and START to accept. Controller configurations can be changed in Options, so check the selected setup if actions differ.
Asteroids — About this game
Use short bursts of thrust to leave danger without drifting into another rock. Your facing direction and movement are different: turning aims the ship, while momentum can still carry it along the old line. Watch nearby space before chasing a distant target. Defence and the special weapon are extra tools, but a clear escape route remains useful when the screen becomes crowded.
