How to Play ATV Wild Ride
Quick start
Choose a single-player event and an available rider. Review the driving controls before the first race. Learn the opening turns without trying every stunt, then use a large ramp for a short trick. Spend the earned nitro on a clear stretch and compare the route on the next lap.
Controls
Use the D-pad to steer and the acceleration, braking and nitro controls listed in the race’s control screen. Stunt inputs are used while airborne; leave enough time to finish before landing. Check the DS control explanation for the selected action, then practise it on an uncrowded jump.
ATV Wild Ride — About this game
ATV Wild Ride combines off-road racing with a trick-to-boost loop. World Tour travels through locations in Mexico, England, Russia, Thailand, Canada and the United States, with large ramps providing time in the air for stunts. Successful tricks earn nitro, which you can spend to pass opponents when the track opens up. Fast riding therefore depends on more than holding the accelerator: choose a clean approach to a jump, finish an appropriate trick and prepare for the next turn. Learn one course’s bends and landing areas before attempting longer moves. This original DS game uses its own handheld racing controls and local multi-card format.
