How to Play Avalon Code
Quick start
Choose a hero and name, then follow the opening encounter and Rempo's lessons. In Grana Plains, scan the Blazera flower with B. Continue south to scan the Gladius tablet and learn the weapon-code explanation, then follow Rempo west for the monster-scanning lesson. Read the book pages before changing their codes. Continue to Rhoan Town, scan the soldier when prompted and head to the house indicated as your home.
Controls
D-pad moves; Y attacks with the left-hand weapon and X with the right; B strikes with the book to scan; A interacts. L/R perform an evasive roll. START opens the data screen for saving/loading; SELECT shows HP/MP bars while standing still. Use the Touch Screen to browse book pages and rearrange unlocked codes. Later techniques, including Judgment Link and charged weapon moves, must first be learned; they are not required for the opening scan lesson.
Avalon Code — About this game
Avalon Code places the Book of Prophecy at the centre of an action RPG. By striking people, monsters and objects with the book, you record pages containing the codes that define them. Moving these pieces around a page's grid can change an enemy's attributes or reshape a weapon, so observation and experimentation matter alongside real-time attacks. Choose a male or female hero, explore the countryside and meet townspeople while gathering information for a world facing destruction. The DS lower screen becomes the book itself: you turn its discoveries into practical changes, then return to the field to see what those changes do.
