How to Play Baby Pals
Quick start
Begin by adopting a baby. Choose a boy or girl, adjust the appearance and enter a name. Open the question-mark icon to check the four needs, then choose the most urgent care icon. For a first bath, follow the soap, shower and towel steps before the timer expires. Return to the needs display afterward and try a play or teaching activity when it becomes available.
Controls
Tap menu icons with the stylus and drag tools to use them. In the bath, drag soap over the baby, rinse with the shower head and wipe away water with the towel. Repeat the baby’s hand-clap sequence by tapping the buttons in order. In the sleep game, touch and hold a sheep, then flick up or down to change its level. When the Speak icon appears, praise the baby through the DS microphone for extra hearts.
Baby Pals — About this game
Create a baby’s appearance and name, then care for cleanliness, food, play and sleep. Each need has three levels, and the Needs menu shows which one requires attention first. Bathing, changing diapers, preparing meals and feeding become small touch-controlled activities; play includes copying hand-clap patterns, moving toys and peek-a-boo. Successful care earns hearts and strengthens your bond. Teaching activities gradually unlock and provide experience toward three stages of development, including learning body parts, crawling and walking. Even after the third stage, the baby still needs attention. Clothing, hairstyles and toys let you keep changing the baby’s look and playtime.
