How to Play Back to the Future II & III
Quick start
Move right from the 1985 start to find the remote control, then open the submenu with Select and use it to summon the DeLorean. Collect fuel before changing years. Jump on enemies for keys, unlock Object Rooms, gather every clock inside and take the revealed artefact. Record the object's name and location. Find its Puzzle Room, unscramble the displayed word, and choose the matching item carefully—a wrong answer returns the object to its original room. Use the compass from the submenu to track era, street and position.
Controls
Left/right moves Marty, up enters doorways, and down enters pipes or holes. A jumps. B uses the acquired weapon and picks up items in certain puzzle rooms. Start pauses; Select opens the status/object submenu, and pressing Select again returns to play. In the DeLorean use up/down to choose 1955, 1985 or 2015, A to time-travel, and B to exit. Marty can defeat most enemies by jumping on them.
Back to the Future II & III — About this game
Back to the Future II & III combines adaptations of the second and third films into one NES adventure. Marty explores connected streets and eras, defeats enemies for keys and fuel, unlocks Object Rooms, then returns each recovered artefact through a matching Puzzle Room. Part II hides 30 objects across 1955, 1985 and 2015; completing it leads directly into Part III, where ten more objects are scattered through the Old West. Doors, pipes, manholes and hidden rooms form a large scavenger hunt with no battery save, making maps and careful notes extremely valuable.
