How to Play Back to the Future Part II & III
Quick start
Find the remote control on the street beside the starting area, open Select's submenu and summon the DeLorean. Defeat enemies by jumping on them to obtain keys and fuel. Inside an Object Room, collect every clock and take the final artefact. Write down where it came from before looking for a Puzzle Room in another era. Unscramble its clue and select the correct artefact; a mistake sends that item back. Check the compass often and group several tasks in one era to conserve time-travel fuel.
Controls
Use left/right to walk, up to enter doors and down to descend into pipes or holes. A jumps; B fires a weapon after it is acquired and collects objects in applicable puzzle rooms. Start pauses and Select opens the object/status panel; Select again closes it. In the DeLorean, up/down changes the destination year, A confirms time travel and B gets out. Jumping on enemies is the standard attack before a weapon is found.
Back to the Future Part II & III — About this game
Back to the Future Part II & III is a single NES cartridge that turns both sequels into an extended platform adventure and scavenger hunt. In Part II, thirty objects are hidden across the 1955, 1985 and 2015 versions of Hill Valley. Keys open Object Rooms, where all clocks must be collected before an artefact appears; Puzzle Rooms then ask which object matches a scrambled word. Finishing that quest begins Part III and a more linear search for ten Old West objects. Fuel, compass readings and written location notes reduce repeated travel through the maze-like streets.
