How to Play Backyard Hockey
Quick start
Press START and select PLAY NOW, choose a difficulty, and enter a pickup game with random teams, players, and rink. SINGLE GAME lets you build the matchup; SEASON PLAY runs a 14-game schedule toward the BHL championship. In your first shift, use B for quick passes, then hold A longer for a harder shot instead of carrying the puck into every defender.
Controls
Menus: D-Pad navigates/toggles, A accepts, B goes back, L/R toggle choices, START jumps to the game, and SELECT shows Info Buddy. Gameplay: D-Pad moves. A aims and shoots (hold longer for more power) or pokes on defense; B passes or switches defender; L dumps the puck; R gives a turbo burst. Shoulder buttons also change lines when prompted. In Air Hockey, A slaps. START pauses.
