How to Play Balls of Fury
Quick start
Choose Exhibition for a single match with an available character. Keep the stylus on the lower court and move the paddle to meet the incoming ball. Start with straight returns, then sweep sideways to aim toward a corner. Hold left/right to add spin and use up for a power move once the gauge has enough energy. Story mode uses Randy and changing match objectives.
Controls
DS: stylus movement controls the paddle for serves and returns. The direction of your stroke affects the shot. Hold D-pad left/right for extra spin; press up to use a charged power move. Watch the lower touch court for your paddle and the upper screen for the opponent. Power builds from returns and points.
Balls of Fury — About this game
Balls of Fury uses the two DS screens as one table-tennis court, with your paddle on the lower touch screen and the opponent above. Direct paddle control makes both positioning and the angle of a stroke matter: a sideways sweep can send a return toward a corner. Rallies and points fill a power gauge for spectacular special shots. Exhibition offers individual matches, Arcade links elimination games and Story follows Randy Daytona through opponents with their own victory conditions. Learning a steady return first makes it easier to add spin and decide when a power shot will interrupt the opponent's rhythm.
