How to Play Barbie in the 12 Dancing Princesses
Quick start
Start a new game, choose the difficulty and enter an available door from the central area. Practise moving and jumping around the first hazards. Rescue the sisters to gain abilities, then select their icons on the lower screen when the next obstacle calls for one.
Controls
Move with the DS Control Pad and select an acquired ability by touching its lower-screen icon. Follow the action prompts for jumps and power use. Once the red running ability is available, select its icon and hold Y while moving to run.
Barbie in the 12 Dancing Princesses — About this game
Genevieve explores a side-scrolling fairy-tale world to free her sisters and stop Rowena. Jumping around hazards is only the beginning: rescued princesses gradually provide abilities such as a butterfly net, ribbons, a mallet and books used as platforms. The DS version keeps these powers on the lower screen, where tapping an icon changes the active ability and Genevieve’s dress colour. New skills turn later obstacles into small environmental puzzles.
