How to Play Total Soccer 2000
Quick start
Choose a match and team, then begin with simple passes in your own half. Move with the directional pad, use A to pass and B to shoot. When the opposition wins possession, follow the active player and use B to challenge without abandoning your position.
Controls
The directional pad moves the active player. A passes, while B shoots in possession and challenges without the ball. START pauses the match and opens the available match options.

Build moves with short passes and use the width of the pitch to draw defenders away from the centre. A shot from a clear angle is more useful than a rushed attempt through several opponents. Without the ball, track the nearest threat rather than sending every challenge forward. Learning these changes of possession makes matches easier to read.
