Barcode World — About this game

"Barcode World" is an RPG that connects Barcode Butler II to the Famicom using a special cable and creates characters and items from the 13-digit barcodes of products and attached cards. In the scenario, you register the first two main characters and advance through the 20 worlds of the Barcode Nebula in the order of enemy stars, space stations, and bosses. You can have up to 8 companions, but battles are one-on-one, and you choose normal attacks, recovery, magic, and tools to reduce HP. Instead of a general experience point system, your abilities may improve after victory, and if you can't progress, you can refight previous enemies. It also supports two-player matches, and the process of searching for real packages and testing unknown ability values becomes a game in itself.
