Press START on the title screen to start the game, and in the first stage, sink two carp to use as bait. Next, use the perch as bait and guide it to the deep water where water is rising in the upper right corner of the screen, and when the huge fish bites, hook it by pressing the bottom of the cross button. During the fight, watch the line tension display and use summing to weaken the huge fish by keeping it around orange without raising it to the dangerous range. The victory conditions change for each stage, so check the explanation at the start.

Use the cross button to select the menu and adjust the fishing position and tackle, press A to confirm, and press B to cancel. When fighting with fish, increase the tension by summing B, and loosen it by releasing. In the vortex scene, the tension increases even when you press the cross button, and decreases when you release it, so keep the display at about 70% to 80% to prevent thread breakage. For special rules where you pause with START and receive instructions on the screen, give priority to that input.
