How to Play Best Keiba: Derby Stallion
Quick start
First, check the breeding mare data at the farm. Another option would be to breed in April, and if there are affordable 2-year-old horses on the market, you could purchase them and secure your horse as soon as possible. After insemination, we proceed until May to confirm conception, and if successful, proceed to April of the following year to confirm birth. Name the foal and wait for it to grow until May or June, two years from now. When a 3-year-old horse is past May, check its condition and move it to a stable, train it, ask a jockey, and register it for a race. It is important not to expand the number of horses you own and your expenses too much in the early stages, as you will end up running out of funds.
Controls
Cross button: Select menu item. A button: Sets the menu and advances the calendar one week. B button: Return to the previous menu. SELECT button: Advance the calendar one month. The START button whose function cannot be confirmed on the operation chart in the original manual is not listed.
Best Keiba: Derby Stallion — About this game
``Best Horse Racing Derby Stallion'' is a simulation game in which you, as a central horse racing owner, produce and train racehorses and send them out to races. When you start, you will have 15 million yen and one breeding mare, and you will inseminate and purchase young horses at the ranch, and then deposit the grown horses at the stable and proceed with training and riding requests. At the racetrack, you choose a race to run, instruct the jockey how to ride, and aim to win prize money. They manage funds and the condition of their horses while going back and forth between three settings: the ranch, the stables, and the racetrack, and take on big stages such as the Derby and Arima Kinen through new horse races, condition races, and open races. The ultimate goal is to acquire all G1 titles, and if you run out of funds midway through, the game will be over.
