How to Play Best Play Pro Yakyuu '90, The

Quick start

In the league data, set the team in charge as MAN, and set other teams as COM or SKP as necessary. Decide on the schedule, confirm the starting pitcher, fielding position, and batting order before starting the official game. In the first game, I will not force myself to use all the signs, but I will make substitutions while watching the pitcher's stamina index, and I will prioritize learning A decisions and B cancellations.

Controls

Cross key: Move cursor/marker. A button: Confirm selection item. B button: Cancel decision/return to previous screen. Use the D-pad before pitching to signal an attack, and use B + D-pad to send off or throw a spirited pitch. In MAN vs. MAN, the first player uses controller I, and the second player uses controller II.

Best Play Pro Yakyuu '90, The — About this game

"Best Play Professional Baseball '90" is a simulation for the Famicom in which players are not directly involved in hitting or pitching, but are in charge as a manager. You can edit detailed player abilities and manager tendencies, give instructions yourself with MAN, leave it to the manager with COM, and only monitor results with SKP. Set up your batting order and starting lineup, and select bunts, stolen bases, end runs, squeezes, defensive positions, substitute pitches, etc. during the game. You can tally the results of official games and compete in the Japan Series between the winners of both leagues.
