How to Play Best Play Pro Yakyuu Special, The

Quick start

First, change the team in charge to MAN in the league data, and select the number of games from the schedule. After practicing substitutions and autographs in open matches where match results are not recorded, move on to official matches. The batting order is determined by checking the players' skill, slugging, and footwork, as well as the stamina of the starters, and in games, pitching is done before the pitcher's index drops. To exit, perform the exit operation from the main menu as per the instructions.

Controls

Cross button: Move cursor/marker. A button: Select item. B button: Cancel/return to previous screen. Before pitching, input a cross to signal an attack, and press B + cross to send off or pitch with enthusiasm. In MAN vs. MAN, the first player uses controller I, and the second player uses controller II.

Best Play Pro Yakyuu Special, The — About this game

``Best Play Professional Baseball Special'' is a manager-type simulation modeled on actual professional baseball that lets you run two six-team leagues in parallel. Set MAN, COM, and SKP for each team and manage player and manager abilities, batting order, defense, starting pitchers, substitute pitches, and strategies. Two league data can be stored in the cassette, and a seven-game Japan Series will be held between the winning teams of each league. The test is not on your action skills, but on your judgment in reading long-term results and correcting orders and commands.
