How to Play Bird Week
Quick start
At the beginning of the game, catch a butterfly and bring it to the chick that shows hunger. Entering the nest from below will reduce the chance of landing. If a dangerous enemy is near the nest, pick up a mushroom on the ground, drop it from above, pause, and then feed it. Use the speed of descent for emergency avoidance to evenly manage the hunger stages of the chicks.
Controls
Use the cross button to move the parent bird up, down, left and right. A is an operation to drop the mushroom you are holding. B is used to decide the starting side in the title STUDY GAME. In normal play, you touch butterflies to catch them as food, and feed them to hungry chicks by touching them.
Bird Week — About this game
"Bird Week" is an action game for the Famicom where you become a parent bird and raise chicks. Catch butterflies flying across the screen, feed them in turn to the chicks that signal that they are hungry, and when all of them grow, the level is cleared. They transport food back and forth while avoiding predators such as eagles, bees, and woodpeckers. Mushrooms on the ground can be picked up and dropped on enemies, and by using the snail's time stop and the acorn's invincibility, it becomes easier to deal with the densely packed enemies in the latter half.
