How to Play Blades of Thunder
Quick start
Choose New Game, select a difficulty and read the briefing for Episode 1: Desert Assault. Level 1 begins with primary and optional secondary objectives; use the radar to locate hostile air, ground and sea units instead of flying straight into unseen fire. Keep moving and change altitude while picking off radar vehicles and mission targets. The machine gun has unlimited ammunition, so save Hydra rockets and lock-on Homing Missiles for armoured targets or bosses, and collect repair or ammunition pickups before leaving an area.
Controls
The D-pad steers the helicopter and changes altitude as indicated by the cockpit display. Use the aiming control to move the crosshair separately from the aircraft; the attack buttons fire the unlimited machine gun, Hydra rockets and lock-on Homing Missiles, with the current weapon and ammunition shown on the HUD. START pauses. Menus use the D-pad and the confirm/cancel buttons. Check Options before launch for the displayed GBA button assignment, because the game offers more than one control arrangement.
