How to Play Blue Dragon: Awakened Shadow
Quick start
After the opening scene, choose your avatar’s gender and appearance. In the first playable rooms, head south and then east, watching the upper-screen map. Practise attacks and guarding against the early enemies, then follow the tutorials as the route opens.
Controls
Move with the Control Pad or drag the stylus towards your destination. A interacts and attacks; B guards. Touch an enemy to attack or your hero to guard. Hold A for a Shadow Skill. L/R rotates the camera; L+R resets it to face north.

A newly awakened hero searches for lost memories and the cause of strange changes in the world. Create your own character, then explore alongside familiar faces from Blue Dragon. Battles use direct weapon attacks, guarding and Shadow skills, while equipment synthesis gives you another way to develop your adventurer. The opening rooms introduce movement and combat before the journey reaches Neo Jibral, linking the personal mystery to the wider world.
