How to Play Brain Voyage
Quick start
On a first start, touch CREATE, enter your name on the keyboard and confirm with the checkmark. Choose WORLD TOUR and tap through Knizia’s introduction. Drag the map to look around, then tap a green city to inspect it and tap again to enter. Start its first level, follow the tutorial and aim for the displayed medal score. Yellow cities cost coins; red ones cost more than you currently have.
Controls
Use the stylus for menus and puzzle actions. Drag to move the world map; tap a green city twice to inspect and enter it. Tap through the TOUCH NOW tutorial prompts, and use the I information button to revisit the rules. START opens the pause menu. Each city has its own puzzle controls, so read its tutorial before using the same gestures elsewhere.
Brain Voyage — About this game
Brain Voyage makes each city a different puzzle stop on a world map. Reiner Knizia introduces the rules and gives tips before you work towards the score needed for a medal. Bronze, silver and gold rewards supply coins, which open more cities and difficulty levels. Sixteen locations each have five level variations, and generated layouts keep return visits from being identical. World Tour provides progression, while Random Play opens after you have tried four different puzzles. A Puzzle Bank can retain particular layouts for another attempt at their high scores; banked puzzles do not award more medals or coins. Choose a city for its challenge, learn its rule set and decide where to spend the rewards from your next successful attempt.
