How to Play Bram Stoker's Dracula
Quick start
Practise jumping with A and attacking with B, then open every reachable crate by striking it or landing on top. During daylight, explore for supplies and locate Van Helsing rather than rushing straight ahead. Save ranged weapons for dense enemy groups and the night boss. Press Down in mid-air for a stomp, and use Down+A when standing on a suitable platform to drop through it.
Controls
D-pad left/right walks; Up looks upwards and Down looks down or crouches. A jumps and B attacks with the selected weapon. Press Down whilst airborne to stomp. Down+A drops Jonathan through a platform. START pauses and resumes. Attack a crate with B or land on it from above to open it.
Bram Stoker's Dracula — About this game
The European NES edition of Bram Stoker's Dracula is a side-scrolling action adaptation of the film. Jonathan Harker crosses seven locations, each presented as a daytime and a night-time stage. By day he explores for weapons and the imprisoned Van Helsing; at night tougher creatures and a boss-form of Dracula await. Crates opened by striking or landing on them contain health and weapons. The default slash is joined by limited axes, rocks, fire and a three-way rock attack, rewarding careful conservation.
