How to Play Bubble Bobble Revolution
Quick start
Select New Age and begin at its first available stage. Move toward the nearest enemy, use B to trap it and touch the bubble with your dragon to burst it. Jump with A to reach the next platform and clear the remaining enemies. Once comfortable, hold B until the dragon flashes, then release a charged bubble. Later fan stages use microphone blowing when a fan is present.
Controls
DS: D-pad left/right moves; A jumps, and holding or timing A on a bubble lets you bounce. B blows bubbles; hold until the dragon flashes and release for a charged bubble. After obtaining a ghost bubble, L/R changes position with the ghost. Blow into the microphone to activate fans in relevant New Age stages; touch input also handles menus and bonus-game fan switches.
Bubble Bobble Revolution — About this game
Bubble Bobble Revolution includes the original arcade-style game alongside New Age, a separate set of stages built around the DS displays. Both ask you to trap monsters in bubbles and burst them, but New Age adds larger scrolling areas, bosses and charged bubbles that can capture several enemies. Special bubbles and ghost-based position changes create ways to reach targets beyond an ordinary shot. Some stages also use microphone-activated fans to redirect bubbles. Learn where enemies travel before charging a shot, since an opening in the platforms can be as important as a clear line of fire. This entry covers the revised US cartridge, Rev 1.
