How to Play Buffy the Vampire Slayer
Quick start
Choose New Game with Up/Down and confirm with A or START. Advance dialogue with A. In the graveyard, use A to punch and B to kick, then stand near a fallen vampire and press Down+A to stake it. Finish the first enemy before allowing others to surround Buffy; START pauses when you need a break.
Controls
Left/Right moves; holding the direction opposite Buffy's facing blocks. Up jumps and Down crouches. A punches or throws a held item; B kicks. Down+A stakes a fallen vampire or picks up an item; Down+B performs a low kick. START pauses and resumes. A advances story text, B revisits it and START skips the sequence.
Buffy the Vampire Slayer — About this game
Buffy has separate punches and kicks, a crouching attack and a jump controlled with Up rather than an action button. To block, hold Left when Buffy faces right, or Right when she faces left. Look for room to strike back. Items can help her during a fight, while passwords let you resume progress. Read the conversations between stages for the unfolding story, and finish fallen vampires promptly instead of letting a crowded fight build around you.
