How to Play A Bug's Life
Quick start
Press START for the main menu, set SKILL to Easy in Options if learning, then choose START GAME. In The Harvesting Machine, search for every required component while avoiding bees, worms and grasshoppers. Collect berries before attacking. Practise walking, holding B with a direction to run and jumping with A before attempting gaps at speed.
Controls
Left/Right walks; hold B with a direction to run. A jumps. While standing still, B throws a collected berry. Down crouches and looks below; hold Down with Left/Right to move while crouched. START pauses. Menu choices use the D-pad and A. In the crop-harvesting bonus, the D-pad moves Flik around the field.
A Bug's Life — About this game
The first level asks you to assemble a harvesting machine; collecting all its parts makes the crop-harvesting bonus possible. Later tasks include returning with the circus bugs, rescuing Dot and finding components for a mechanical bird. Berries provide ammunition, but the same button also controls running. Choose Easy or Hard in Options, and use the password feature to return to the adventure later.
