How to Play Burnout Legends
Quick start
Press START or touch the title screen, then choose World Tour. Select Compact, the available location and the first unlocked race, then choose a vehicle. Use the default Type A controls to learn steering and braking before boosting. Aim for a medal to open another event.
Controls
Default Type A: A accelerates, B brakes/reverses, left/right steer and R boosts. X looks back in races and triggers Crashbreaker in Crash events when ready. R plus the Control Pad controls Impact Time/Aftertouch; the touch screen can guide the wreck too. SELECT changes camera and START pauses. Menus use the Control Pad, A to confirm and B to return, or touch input.
Burnout Legends — About this game
Burnout Legends combines aggressive street races with dedicated crash events on Nintendo DS. World Tour begins with Compact cars in the USA; medals open more events, and success in the Compact Grand Prix leads to the next vehicle class. Race rewards finishing first, Road Rage focuses on rival takedowns, and Time Attack asks for your best lap. Risky driving builds boost, while forcing a rival off the road extends the boost bar. After a crash, Impact Time and Aftertouch let you guide the wreck towards traffic or an opponent. Crash events instead reward the damage caused in a junction, with Crashbreaker detonations adding to the pile-up.
