Choose Create Profile, name and customise a hunter, then spend the starting skill points on traits such as marksmanship or stealth. Career follows Uncle Pete’s goal of placing a trophy in the Hall of Fame from every region; Quick Hunt is useful for learning equipment without advancing that story. For the first Career hunt, review the target and loadout, travel through the top-down area, inspect tracks and use the appropriate animal call. When the animal is in range, enter the first-person aiming view, steady the crosshair and take a legal shot; follow a wounded target instead of abandoning the hunt, then claim the trophy.

The D-pad moves the hunter or vehicle in the overhead area, moves the crosshair in the aiming view, and selects menus. A confirms a menu or context prompt and performs the displayed action; B cancels or returns. Use the shoulder buttons to cycle available equipment or calls when their HUD labels are shown. START pauses and opens the current hunt menu; SELECT changes the displayed information when prompted. In an aiming encounter, follow the on-screen Fire and Back labels because the active buttons depend on the selected item.
