How to Play Captain America and The Avengers
Quick start
Start with Captain America, practise shield throws and the double-tap tackle, then search each city for every exit key. Collect power stones and use Select to swap to Hawkeye when straight ranged arrows are safer.
Controls
D-pad moves and aims. A jumps; B attacks. Captain America tackles with a double-tap Left/Right, covers overhead with Up, and after jumping presses Down to float on his shield over water. Start pauses; Select opens change and status.

Data East's NES Captain America and the Avengers is a distinct side-scrolling adventure starring Captain America and Hawkeye. Stages span American cities and require keys to remove exit force fields. Cap uses a throwable shield and special movement techniques; Hawkeye fires arrows and punches nearby enemies. The Select menu supports character changes and status checks, while Battle Mode offers two-player fights.
