Controls
Control Pad steers, A accelerates, B brakes, X uses an ability, L boosts and R drifts. Follow the current mission's ability instructions; progress saves automatically.
Cars 2 — About this game
Cars 2 on DS divides its action between Lightning McQueen's World Grand Prix competition and espionage starring Mater, Finn and Holley. The CH.R.O.M.E. simulator lets unlocked characters enter missions and races; Circuit Cup groups races into a structured competition. Learn steering and drifting in a race before trying an action mission, where the current ability matters alongside speed. Field Missions and Race Simulator provide direct access to unlocked events, so a difficult section can be practised without treating every menu as a new story chapter.
