Create a new file, enter a name, and enter the castle after Juste and Maxim pursue Lydie. Use the left and right dashes to clear the first enemies and hazards, check the map at dead ends, and secure an early save room. Pair a sub-weapon with a spell book to use Spell Fusion.

The Control Pad moves and crouches. A jumps and later double-jumps; B attacks with the whip and can be held to swing it; Up+B uses a sub-weapon; L/R dash left/right; START opens status; SELECT opens the map. Down+A slides, while Down+B drops through a thin floor.
