How to Play Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia
Quick start
Choose GAME START and a new save file. After the opening scenes, follow Barlowe’s training: hold Up to absorb Confodere, open START → Glyphs and equip it to both Y and X. Practise alternating attacks and Up plus Y or X for a Glyph Union, then face the tutorial skeletons.
Controls
Default DS controls: D-pad moves and crouches; hold Up to absorb a nearby glyph. B jumps, Y uses the main arm glyph, X the other arm glyph, R the back glyph and L backdashes. Up plus Y/X performs a Glyph Union once the relic is available. START opens the menu; SELECT switches map/status displays.
Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia — About this game
Order of Ecclesia follows Shanoa through separate regions linked by a world map, with exploration leading toward Dracula’s castle. Absorbed glyphs become weapons or magical abilities assigned to her arms and back. Alternating the two arm attacks creates quick combinations, but ordinary glyph use consumes MP; stronger Glyph Unions spend hearts instead. Finding villagers opens quests and services in Wygol, giving reasons to revisit dangerous routes and experiment with different powers.
