How to Play Choujikuu Yousai Macross
Quick start
First, press B to fire normally, then press A and press right to transform into a fast fighter, top to transform into a gerwalk, and left to transform into a battroid. Choose a Fighter for the outer walls where you need to move quickly, and a Gerwalk or Battroid for areas where you need to deal with enemies with rapid fire. Since SELECT's reaction bullets are limited, they should be conserved in dense areas and ship centers. Spherical special targets receive buffs on contact without being shot.
Controls
Use the cross keys to move up, down, left, and right, and press and hold A while inputting a direction to transform. A+ right is fighter, A+ top is Gerwalk, A+ left is Battroid. B is machine gun/gun pod firing, SELECT is finite reaction bullet, START is start/pause. When you're a Battroid, input left to flip 180 degrees and shoot at enemies behind you.
Choujikuu Yousai Macross — About this game
The Famicom version of ``The Super Dimension Fortress Macross'' is a side-scrolling shooter based on the mechs and battles from the movie version of ``Do You Remember?''. Players can transform the VF-1S into three forms at any time and advance through space where mines and enemy troops await, the outer walls of the enemy ship, and the inside of the Britai ship. Fighter is suitable for high speed, Gerwalk is suitable for standard speed and rapid fire, and Battroid is suitable for low speed rapid fire and reversal, so it is necessary to use them properly depending on the scene. Power decreases depending on the number of hits and time, and points are scored based on the time remaining until the core is destroyed inside the ship.
