How to Play Clu Clu Land
Quick start
Choose a one- or two-player game, then leave the starting pocket with the D-pad. Bubbles keeps moving until she bounces, so begin by practicing one short turn: hold a perpendicular direction near a post, watch her swing, and release when she faces the next lane. Sweep unexplored rows to expose the hidden picture, fire at approaching urchins, and push stunned enemies against an outer wall instead of lingering beside them.
Controls
D-pad: when stationary, start moving in the chosen direction; while moving, extend the arm in the pressed direction and grab a reachable turnpost. Keep holding to circle the post and release to fly off on the current heading. A or B: fire an electric shock wave straight ahead. START: pause or resume. SELECT on the title screen: switch between one- and two-player play; START confirms the selection.
Clu Clu Land — About this game
Clu Clu Land is a fixed-screen action maze in which Bubbles swims forward automatically through a field of turnposts. Passing over the right spaces reveals gold bars arranged as a hidden picture; uncover the full pattern before time expires to clear the stage. Bubbles cannot simply turn on command: you extend an arm toward a nearby post, circle it, and release at the angle you want. Sea urchins, black holes and rubber traps complicate each route, while an electric wave can stun an urchin long enough for you to shove it into a wall. One or two players can search the same board together.
