How to Play Code Lyoko
Quick start
Follow the opening route and switches into a battle. Select a ready warrior and basic attack, watch the recovery meter and use another ready ally while waiting.
Controls
Tap battle commands and targets on the lower screen. Use the displayed exploration controls outside combat, and check plug-ins or items in menus. A hero can act again after its meter refills; this is not the first game's direct-action combat.
Code Lyoko — About this game
Fall of X.A.N.A. changes the DS series to party RPG battles. Explore Lyoko's passages, operate switches and enter fights where the lower screen holds commands and the upper view shows the action. After an attack, that hero must recharge; stronger moves can mean longer waits. Alternate ready heroes instead of tapping an unavailable move repeatedly. Plug-ins adjust statistics and the laboratory provides supplies. Begin by learning one ordinary attack and watching its recovery, then decide whether a stronger move's delay fits the next threat.
