How to Play Conan
Quick start
On the first stage, practice the unusual movement before approaching hazards: Up jumps straight, while Down makes Conan leap in the direction he faces. Use A for the weaker or higher strike and B for the stronger mid-height attack. Search the scenery, crouch to pick up objects, and open the item screen with Select when a normal attack cannot solve an encounter.
Controls
Left/Right: turn and run. Up: jump straight up; Up+Left/Right: running jump. Down: jump forward. A: punch or slash / weaker high attack. B: kick or stab / stronger mid-height attack. B+Up: jump kick. A+Down: duck or pick up an object. Select: open or switch in the weapon-selection screen. Start: start or pause.
Conan — About this game
Conan is a side-scrolling action adventure based on Myth: History in the Making, recast around the famous barbarian. Its seven stages move through caverns, ruins, monster lairs, a Viking ship, forests, a sky castle, and an Egyptian tomb. Combat is deliberately unconventional: Up jumps vertically, Down leaps forward, and the two attack buttons strike at different strengths and heights. Progress also depends on finding and selecting special weapons or objects suited to particular enemies and environmental puzzles.
