How to Play Conker's Pocket Tales
Quick start
Choose a language with the D-pad and A or B. Highlight an empty book, press START and enter initials. Explore nearby signs, practice A jumping and B punching, then try SELECT on a dirt patch.
Controls
The D-pad moves; double-tap and hold a direction to run. A jumps, talks or reads; press A again in the air to stomp. B punches, fires the collected slingshot or uses a suitable tool. SELECT digs on dirt. START opens pause/inventory; in the GBC version SELECT while paused opens saving.
Conker's Pocket Tales — About this game
Read signs and speak to characters before leaving an area. Dirt patches can lead around obstacles, crates can be pushed and a running start extends a jump. Tools such as the slingshot change what Conker can do, so remember places you could not pass earlier. The Color version also has its own save command in the pause screen, making it useful to record progress after a successful stretch.
