How to Play Cosmic Wars
Quick start
First, set the CPU to EASY, animation ON, and scenario 1. Produced units cannot be used until the next turn, so secure the flagship and commander first, and organize units with different roles into one fleet. Capture nearby neutral planets to increase your income and advance along the warp line from a resupply position. If your flagship sinks, you will lose your entire fleet, so don't send it alone to the front row.
Controls
The basic operation is to select the cursor, item, and map position using the cross keys, press A to confirm, and press B to cancel. For the title, select NEW GAME/CONTINUE with SELECT and start with START. On the settings screen, use the top and bottom buttons to select scenarios, and press A or B to change the display speed. You can save your progress to a backup by selecting the in-game command SAVE.
Cosmic Wars — About this game
"Cosmic Wars" is a cosmic-scale war simulation created by Konami for the Famicom. Blue and Red take turns in the production, commander recruitment, fleet formation, warp, attack/movement, and investment phases. Up to 16 units from 16 types of each army can be incorporated into the flagship, taking into consideration the commander's abilities and experience, anti-ground and anti-ship performance, and the terrain within the star system. Capturing neutral and enemy planets will increase your income, investment will increase your income and durability, and finally, you will win if you capture the enemy's capital planet.
