How to Play Crash: Mind over Mutant
Quick start
Advance to the title with A and press START. Create a profile, move around the world map and choose an unfinished stage with A. Practise B to jump and Y to attack. Stun a mutant, press A to ride it and touch the paw icon to review its available moves.
Controls
Left/right move, B jumps and a second B double-jumps. Y makes light attacks; Up+Y or Y in the air spins. X makes heavy attacks and an airborne belly-flop. A rides a stunned mutant or dismounts. Down or L/R crouches, and L/R while moving slides. On a mutant, L dodges, R blocks, and R plus a face button uses unlocked specials. Touch icons for hints, moves, mutant storage and full-meter strength; START pauses.
Crash: Mind over Mutant — About this game
Cortex's new gadget turns mutants into enemies, sending Crash and Aku Aku into another rescue adventure. The DS version follows side-scrolling stages chosen from a world map. Crash fights with light and heavy attacks, double jumps and slides; a stunned mutant can be ridden to use its abilities. The lower screen lets you store a mutant, bring it back out, ask Aku Aku for clues or review the current moves. Collect Mojo to fill Crash's super-strength meter or evolve a ridden mutant. Timed bonus platforms reward reaching a treasure, while the checkpoint crate provides a useful break in a stage. Learn the difference between Crash's attacks and the mutant's dodge, block and special moves before rushing into a crowded section.
