Select "NEW GAME" from the first item in the title, and proceed to the first episode after the introduction. At first, the players are Croquette, Cabbage, and Ham. Follow the tutorial to select a unit, decide where to move and who to attack, and annihilate the three enemies. Gather your allies in a position where they can sandwich the enemy, and after taking action, end the turn from the menu of an empty space. In direct confrontations, use A to jump, B to practice combos, and L to practice defense. Special moves can be stabilized by saving TG and using them on strong enemies.

On the simulation screen, use the cross button to move the cursor, press A to select a unit/square and decide "action/attack/EX move/item/standby", and press B to cancel or display terrain information. In direct battle, move left and right, change line with up and down, jump with A, attack with B (combo by hitting repeatedly), defend with L, throw with L+B, and pause with START. R+A/R+B and R+ direction will perform a special move, and R+L will perform a learned super SP move.
