How to Play Custom Robo Arena
Quick start
In the opening, go downstairs and talk to Dad to receive Ray Mk II, its starter parts and the Garage. Continue to Midheart High, speak to the clerk and follow the classroom introductions. Talk to Dennis and Liv, complete the robot registration prompts and challenge Terry for your first battle. Use configuration A to practice jumping and shooting. Outside battle, open the menu with X and choose Save to record progress.
Controls
Outside battle: directional pad moves, A talks or examines, B cancels and X opens or closes the menu. In battle with configuration A: directional pad moves the robot, A jumps, B fires the gun, X performs a dash attack, L launches a Pod and R launches a bomb. SELECT changes the view. Tap the touch screen for Soulboost once that feature is available. Other control configurations remap these actions.
Custom Robo Arena — About this game
Custom Robo Arena combines a school-and-town adventure with fast robot duels inside holographic arenas. Your machine is assembled from five part categories: body, gun, bomb, pod and legs. Changing the loadout changes how you approach an opponent, so movement and weapon choices work together rather than acting as separate upgrades. Outside battle, conversations and tournament events move the story forward and lead to more opponents and equipment. The Garage lets you change parts, test a setup and polish your robot. Learning one configuration before experimenting makes it easier to understand what a new gun or movement part contributes. The DS release also includes local robot-versus-robot play.
