How to Play Cyberball
Quick start
Pick a team, then choose a general play with Left, Up, or Right and confirm with A; choose the specific play with a diagonal direction and A. During the snap, move the ball carrier with the D-pad. For a pass, aim with the D-pad and press A; for a handoff or lateral, aim toward a teammate and press B.
Controls
Play selection: Left/Up/Right then A chooses the general type; a diagonal direction then A chooses the specific play. Run: D-pad. Pass: D-pad toward the target plus A. Handoff/lateral: D-pad toward a teammate plus B. Catch: move the receiver to the marked spot. A changes the controlled player in one-player or team play. A also advances message screens.
Cyberball — About this game
Cyberball adapts Atari’s futuristic robot football to the NES. On offense, players select run, pass, or option concepts and then choose a specific formation; on the field they direct the ball carrier, throw toward a receiver, or hand off and lateral. The metal football progresses from cool to warm, hot, and critical, so advancing across midfield or changing possession is essential before the ball explodes.
