How to Play Dai Kaijuu: Deburas
Quick start
When starting the map, check the four locations first: Egg Transport, Debras, Goal, and Friendly Base. You can buy time by building a wall between the monster and the egg a few squares ahead of time, instead of just placing the escort next to the transport vehicle. The higher the HP of Debras, the faster he moves and recovers every turn, so collect the attacks of multiple units in the same turn to reduce his movement power, and move the transport vehicle forward in the meantime. In the early stages, prioritize securing distance over defeating enemies.
Controls
Cross button: Move the cursor on the map and select commands. A button: Determine unit/command, send message. B button: Cancel and return to previous item. SELECT: Used to pass the turn to the monster side or to save in the displayed scene. START: Start the game from the title screen. If a person controls the monster army in battle mode after clearing the game, the 2P side controller will also be used.
Dai Kaijuu: Deburas — About this game
"Great Monster Debras" is a turn-based simulation in which players move Earth Defense Forces such as tanks, fighter planes, helicopters, and battleships to help vehicles carrying eggs of the ancient bird beast Yasegurus escape to the goal. Basically, it is impossible to defeat Debras with human weapons, and the goal is to use attacks to reduce HP and movement, and to place troops on the path and take detours. The distance traveled by the transport vehicle depends on the roll of the dice, so you cannot follow the same steps every time. This is a monster movie-style defensive battle where you divide the forces that hold back the monsters from the forces that open the way for transport vehicles, and decide when to focus your attacks on Debras as he recovers.
