How to Play Derby Stallion: Zenkokuban

Quick start

Once you start, check your cash, broodmare, and stallion prices to avoid expensive combinations and leave money for the farm. We do not allow our first offspring to compete unreasonably, and we check their training, rest, and race schedule every week. Accumulate prize money by competing in conditions that match your distance and class, and when you lose, review not only your lack of ability but also your distance, fatigue, and foot quality. Prioritize your horse's winnings over the big horse race.

Controls

Use the D-pad to move the cursor between menu items, horses, races, etc. Press A to confirm and proceed to the next screen, press B to cancel and return to the previous screen. Please note that if you select NEW GAME using SELECT on the title, existing data will be deleted. The same selection-based operations are used on each screen for the ranch, stables, and racetrack.

Derby Stallion: Zenkokuban — About this game

"Derby Stallion Nationwide Edition" is a horse racing simulation for the Famicom in which you run a farm from initial funds and breeding mares. We select stallions based on their price and distance suitability, and then stable the resulting horses at Miho or Ritto. We improve speed and stamina through training, manage fatigue and condition, and register for races of appropriate distances and classes. Our long-term goal is to use winning prize money to fund the next generation of horses, raise multiple generations of horses for different roles from short distances to long distances, and conquer the G1 races nationwide.
