Quick start
Begin the first puzzle and watch where the minion walks before touching a switch. Identify the exit and the obstacle blocking its path. Operate a bridge, door or lift at the right moment, observe the changed route and complete one safe crossing before combining mechanisms.
Controls
Use the DS touch screen and stylus to operate the mechanism buttons shown in each puzzle. A switch may extend a bridge, move a lift or change a door, so watch the result before pressing another. You guide the minions by changing their route rather than steering Gru with a console platformer's controls.

Minion Mayhem on DS is an indirect-control puzzle platform game. The minions keep moving, while you change the environment to make a route toward the exit. Begin by watching one cycle of movement before pressing a button: opening the correct path at the wrong moment can still send a minion into trouble. Learn what a bridge, lift or door changes, then combine those effects in sequence. If an attempt fails, identify which mechanism acted too early rather than tapping every switch faster. Observe the minion's position as well as the machinery. This DS design differs from the action game on other consoles; planning the path is the central skill.
