How to Play Devilman
Quick start
In the early stages, use A to jump over the enemy, and use B to punch to gradually accumulate anger. Ask residents for their destination using Talk in the START menu, and be sure to record the password before exiting. When you can transform, select the top Devil Man from the SELECT menu, and after the battle, return to the bottom Human and talk to the person. When the HELP display appears, investigate the surrounding area and prioritize rescue, which will bring you closer to a better outcome.
Controls
Use the cross keys left and right to move, use the top to enter buildings/entrances, and the bottom to crouch. A to jump, B to punch or Devilman attack. START opens the Talk/Password action menu. After learning the transformation, press SELECT to open another menu, select the top option to return to devilman, and the bottom option to return to human. The character you control and the attack performance will change depending on the scene.
Devilman — About this game
The Famicom version of ``Devilman'' is a side-scrolling action RPG that incorporates characters and developments from the original work. Akira Fudo gathers experience and anger by talking in towns and buildings and defeating demons. When he gets angry enough, he transforms into Devilman and uses his high attack power, jumping, and fireballs to overcome dungeons and bosses. In all 7 areas, there are ordinary people seeking rescue, Miki, important people such as the Makimura family, and the additional areas and ending will change depending on who you save. Stay where you are and keep growing with your password.
