How to Play Dig Dug: Digging Strike
Quick start
Start the first island and inspect the surface layout before entering an underground opening. Dig a safe tunnel, handle a nearby enemy and work toward the support posts. Check the upper map as the island changes, then return through an available exit before your own route becomes unsafe.
Controls
Use DS directional controls to move and dig, and the indicated pump input against a nearby enemy. Position carefully around falling hazards and support posts. Watch both the underground action and the surface map; use an opening or exit as shown to change between the two spaces.
Dig Dug: Digging Strike — About this game
Digging Strike combines underground tunnels with an island above. Ordinary enemies still demand careful movement and the pump, but the larger plan involves support posts and which part of the surface will fall. Begin by reading the top map before digging toward a post. A useful collapse must also leave you a way out, so think about your exit before finishing the underground work. Falling objects and pursuing enemies can turn a direct route into danger. Alternate attention between the tunnel and surface instead of treating this DS game as only the original arcade maze. Learn one safe collapse in the opening stage, then plan a more efficient approach.
